  “I cannot recommend this company. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. They made promises about completing our master bedroom addition quickly and to a high standard, but after 12 months, the only work actually done was basic pier and perimeter concrete. Communication was a nightmare – Charles Lyon was consistently angry and difficult, demanding weekly calls simply to check on progress. He became incredibly aggressive, even accusing me of undermining his work when I contacted the city to understand what was happening with our project. We ultimately had to fire him, and he then refused to transfer the necessary permits to our new contractor. To make matters worse, we found out they had lied to the pier company about payment and falsely claimed we hadn't paid their bill, a claim we were able to easily prove. They also inflated the pier bill by $10,000. Seriously, steer clear of this company – you’ve been warned.” report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience working with Charles Lyon and his company. I signed a design and remodel contract five weeks ago after a consultation where he assured me he could deliver the bathroom design and renovation within my budget and timeframe. However, since then, communication has been almost impossible – it’s been like trying to get a response, with multiple messages needed before anyone replies. When I’ve tried to get clear information about the project, my questions have been ignored or met with vague answers. Now, just weeks after the initial agreement, Charles has informed me that the project will cost more than double my original budget and they can no longer complete the work within the agreed-upon timeframe. Worse, there’s been no explanation for this drastic increase, and no attempt to work with me to find a solution. I’m currently not receiving any communication at all. The whole experience has felt unprofessional, unresponsive, and frankly, very dismissive. It’s been a truly disappointing process.” report abuse
