  “I cannot recommend this company. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. They made promises about completing our master bedroom addition quickly and to a high standard, but after 12 months, they’d only handled basic groundwork. Charles Lyon, our project manager, was consistently difficult and unreasonable – he became angry when we simply requested weekly updates and then accused us of undermining his work when we contacted the city to understand the project’s status. We ultimately had to fire him, and he then refused to transfer our permits to our new contractor. Worse, we found out they’d lied to the pier company, failed to pay them, and then falsely claimed we hadn't paid their bill, a claim we easily proved. To add insult to injury, they had inflated the bill by $10,000. Seriously, proceed with extreme caution – you’ve been warned.” report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience working with Charles Lyon and his company. I signed a design and remodel contract five weeks ago after a consultation where he confidently assured me he could complete the project within my budget and timeframe. However, since then, communication has been a huge struggle – it’s felt like constantly chasing them for updates, and my attempts to get clear answers to my questions have been largely ignored. They’ve given vague responses and repeatedly cancelled meetings with little notice. Just recently, Charles informed me that the final design cost would be more than double my original budget, and they’re no longer able to stick to the agreed-upon timeline. Worse still, they haven’t offered any explanation for this significant increase or attempted to find a compromise. As of now, I haven’t received any communication at all. It feels incredibly unprofessional and dismissive. To top it off, they’ve now restricted my access to our project management portal, Buildertrend, seemingly because they believe I lack the knowledge required for the project – which is simply not true. Overall, this has been a very frustrating and disappointing experience.” report abuse
