“I really loved the community and the model I was looking at with Stanley Martin Homes, but unfortunately, my experience buying a home with them was incredibly frustrating. I tried twice, and both times the process was just disorganized and unreliable. The first time, I went through their recommended mortgage company, but they were incredibly slow to respond to my requests. It took nearly two weeks to get a simple update, and I had to repeatedly chase down the sales rep. Even after we agreed on a price, it jumped $5,000 just two days later – and it turned out we were being charged a fee that previous buyers hadn't been! Then, when I moved to another community, I was given a date for more lots to become available, but the timing kept changing and nobody seemed to know when they’d actually release them. I waited weeks for updates, and the price of the home I wanted increased by $7,000 during that time. Honestly, the lack of communication and constant changes made the whole process so stressful, especially when you’re making a huge investment. I’ve since moved on and am happy to have secured a contract with Ryan’s Homes.”
