  “I can’t recommend A-1 Lawn & Landscaping. My experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. They built my patio using a material I hadn’t chosen, and when I pointed this out, they claimed the original material was out of stock – a story I found completely unbelievable. They should have been upfront with me. I ended up having to remove the patio, buy the correct material myself, and return their work. It’s been a huge hassle, and I’m still dealing with them through a collection agency. I found the owner, Brett, to be dishonest and unprofessional, and I strongly advise everyone to avoid A-1 Lawn & Landscaping.” report abuse

  A1 has been absolutely fantastic to work with over the past several years. I’ve consistently received exceptional service, and I truly couldn’t recommend them more highly. Melody, the office manager, is incredibly knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with, and the entire team – from the office staff to every employee I’ve interacted with – always went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied with every project.   “I was really impressed with the work these guys did on my property in the Mat-Su Valley. They built two retaining walls for my basement entrance and deck support, and honestly, the final design was far superior to what I initially had in mind – it’s fantastic! The job was completed on time, and they went above and beyond with a few extra details that really elevated the whole project. I’d definitely recommend them; I’ll be calling them for any future landscaping work for sure.” report abuse

  “I’ve used several lawn care companies in Anchorage for years, and A1 is hands-down the best I’ve found. What really sets them apart is their flexibility – they offered bi-weekly mowing, which other companies didn’t. Plus, they don’t charge extra for taking away the grass clippings, which was a huge plus. They’re really nice, efficient, and I felt comfortable canceling my service anytime.   A-1 did exactly what I needed them to do – a quick cleanup of my lawns with raking, bagging, and hauling. They were professional, did a fantastic job, and the price was really fair. I didn’t want a long-term contract, and they didn't require one, which was perfect. Now my lawns are ready for the grandkids, and I’ll definitely be using A-1 again – I highly recommend them! report abuse

  “A-1 Landscaping does a fantastic job keeping my neighbor’s yard looking great, and they seem like good guys. However, I’m really frustrated with the amount of leaves, dirt, and grass clippings that have been blown onto my property – my driveway, yard, and even my car. To add to the inconvenience, I was woken up this morning by the noise of two leaf blowers, a weed whacker, and a lawn mower all running at once, and now my car is blocked in by their trailer. I’m going to need to spend some time cleaning up everything they’ve brought over.” report abuse

  “They were really helpful – they even showed up with a shovel! They offered a great solution: a sizable pile of really good, sifted topsoil that you could use right away. Honestly, if you’re looking for quality dirt, this place delivers.” report abuse

  “I was really pleased with the service! They delivered exactly the amount of topsoil I needed – 3 yards – on Friday, and it was great quality, completely clean and without any debris.   “I was really looking forward to getting an estimate, and I made a special effort to be on time for my appointment. However, I arrived five minutes late, and after waiting over an hour, I was told the landscaper had already been there. The explanation that they ‘waited for quite a while’ didn’t really make sense, considering my lateness was minimal. Ultimately, it felt like they weren't particularly interested in my business, so I’ve decided to go with another company.” report abuse

  “We were absolutely thrilled with A-1’s work last year when they installed our cedar fence in Anchorage – it was fantastic! We’re so pleased to see them continuing the project this year with the driveway, retaining walls, and landscaping. We especially appreciate their involvement in managing the asphalt work; it’s a huge relief to have them handle everything.
