  “I unfortunately had a really disappointing experience with Pyramid Insulation back in 2021. They were contracted to insulate my attic, specifically blocking off the kneewall floor and adding insulation to the roof. While the roof insulation itself seems to be working fine, I’ve been battling a significant issue with insulation leaking into my bedroom. It took several years, but I finally had a blower test performed, which revealed the problem was widespread – the insulation was leaking from the entire perimeter of the floor. The inspector examined the work and found that instead of using rigid foam board as we’d discussed, they’d actually used insulation paper and hadn’t properly sealed it. The paper wasn't sealed correctly, and air was sucked under the kneewall, pulling insulation into my room. It was like a vacuum cleaner! We even did a smoke test, and the smoke was immediately pulled into the room when it got just a few inches away. I’ve attached some photos showing the original installation. I’m currently working with a different company to get this fully resolved.” report abuse

We had some tricky variations in ceiling height, and Gerald really took the time to understand our needs and recommend the perfect balance of batt and foam insulation to ensure we met all the building codes – while also staying within our budget.   “I couldn’t be happier with the work Pyramid Insulation did on our 1950s Cape Cod in Baltimore. It’s a tricky house to insulate, but their team really knows what they’re doing – you can tell they’ve got a lot of experience with older homes. Not only was their quote the best I got, but their plan was incredibly detailed and they were even able to fit us in during a really busy time with our baby’s due date approaching! They anticipated needing a second day to do the job properly, and thankfully they were able to get it all done the next day. The temperature dropped to the 40s, and our house is still comfortably 70 degrees without the heat on – it’s made a huge difference!” report abuse

  I couldn’t be happier with Pyramid Insulation. They did a fantastic job insulating my entire attic and the perimeter of my basement ceiling – a huge undertaking, especially since my 1924 home had never had insulation before. While they weren’t the cheapest option, the quality of their work and the materials they used were absolutely worth the investment. Gerald was a truly exceptional contractor; he was incredibly responsive, worked hard to meet my deadline, and ensured the job was done to a very high standard. They left my home spotless after they were finished, and I wholeheartedly recommend Pyramid Insulation and Gerald – I’d definitely use them again without hesitation. report abuse

  Gerald was a fantastic help getting the project started – he answered all my questions and was really supportive. David and Anthony, the workers, were also fantastic – they were always on time, did a really thorough job, and were just really pleasant to have around.   “Overall, I was really pleased with the work done. They were incredibly professional and careful, which was a huge relief – I was worried about a big mess and the insulation getting inside.
