    “I’ve been pretty happy with my Elevation Solar system overall – it’s a solid, reliable product if you’re not prioritizing long-term customer support. I chose Elevation because I wanted a straightforward solar investment and didn’t want to worry about being ‘baited and switched’ later on. I installed my system in November 2021 and added the Curb monitoring, which I felt was a really valuable feature compared to what other companies offered. However, I was quite surprised and frustrated when, around November 30, 2024, I received an email from Elevation saying they’d acquired Curb and that my original equipment was now incompatible. They were telling me I needed to pay for a new upgrade, a $199 installation fee, and $24.99 a month for monitoring – essentially, I was being charged for something I’d already paid for.” report abuse

    “I can’t recommend this company – it’s been a truly terrible experience. They initially installed my solar panels, but they’ve completely failed to follow through. They haven’t provided any paperwork or proof of the work, and now the panels aren’t working at all. When I contacted them for help, they simply refused to assist me. Adding to the frustration, they don’t even have technicians locally, making it incredibly difficult to get anything resolved. It’s clear they lack transparency and responsibility, leaving me with a broken system and no support. Honestly, if you’re thinking about using this company, please reconsider – you’ll likely end up losing your money and having no one to turn to.” report abuse

    I’m incredibly frustrated with Elevation Solar. I’ve been a customer for two years, and the first year was fantastic – no problems at all. However, recently, when I’ve had issues with my system, their communication and responsiveness have been completely unacceptable. I contacted them in July when a panel stopped working, and a technician finally fixed it on September 19th. But then they refused to reinstall the bird guard, claiming the tech wasn’t authorized to do so, despite my repeated requests. I’ve been calling repeatedly since then, trying to get the bird guard fixed, and it’s now overrun with pigeons! Carli Petronio, a manager, initially told me they’d resolve things within a week in February, but I haven’t received any updates or communication since. It feels like they’re avoiding the issue, and I desperately need someone to take this seriously and get it resolved properly and promptly. report abuse

    I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Elevation Solar. We installed a 55k+ system back in May, and it took until November for them to even get it running at full capacity. To make matters worse, their installation crew left exposed wires that needed to be completely covered, and they had to replace over 40 tiles on my roof. Now, with the recent rain, we’ve had several leaks in my master bedroom, and the drywall repair company they hired barely made a dent – they were unable to fully address the water damage, leaving a huge amount of fiberglass and insulation still present on my carpet. It’s a serious health hazard, especially with three young children, including a toddler, in the house. My youngest daughters reacted badly to the fiberglass and insulation, requiring them to stay with my mom for six days. And to add insult to injury, Elevation Solar hasn't offered any compensation for the damage or the distress this has caused. I strongly advise anyone considering this company to think very carefully – seriously, don't use Elevation Solar. report abuse

    “I’m really frustrated with my experience dealing with their warranty service. The process has been incredibly slow and disorganized. The part arrived, but sat at their office for nearly a week before I had to track it down through FedEx. Then, after waiting another two weeks for a technician, they gave me a four-hour window for the installation. Despite repeatedly calling to get an update, they couldn’t provide a clear ETA, initially saying the technician was on his way and then abruptly canceling the appointment and rescheduling without contacting me. To make matters worse, I'd already paid $200 for their labor upfront, and I’m still waiting for them to actually complete the installation.” report abuse

    “I’m really disappointed with the lack of communication I’ve received after six months of having this system installed. Despite reaching out almost daily, I haven’t heard anything about the sign-on incentive they promised. It feels like they misled me into this agreement and aren’t honoring their part of the deal. Additionally, my experience with the customer service representative on the solar line was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.” report abuse

    “Overall, I’d rate my experience with EnergyPal and Elevation pretty positively, largely thanks to Antonio. The whole solar system installation took about six months, and Antonio was fantastic – he really kept everything on track and was a huge help in coordinating with all the different teams at Elevation. He was my go-to guy for updates and really smoothed out any communication issues. We did have a small hiccup with the initial electrician installation; the ground wires were wired incorrectly, and it took just one week to get that sorted out by the inspector. Thankfully, the system is now producing electricity as expected. However, there were a couple of things that could have been handled better. I wasn’t informed that the consumption monitoring device required an extra cost, even though it came with the parts. The installer incorrectly told me to throw it away, and it wasn’t until a month later that it was actually installed and started working. Also, I was a little disappointed with the mounting quality – the panels aren’t centered on my roof, which seems unusual given the rafter locations, and the mounting hardware sticks out quite a bit, creating a glare issue on sunny days. It's just not consistent with other solar installations I’ve seen in the neighborhood. Despite these issues, I’d give Antonio five stars – he was a truly excellent concierge. But, with the other problems, I’m deducting two stars.” report abuse

    “I had a really frustrating experience trying to get some help with a roof issue and my solar panels. It took me a huge amount of time just to reach someone – I was on hold for upwards of 12 minutes several times and left two messages, but no one ever called back. I spoke with the concierge twice, who thankfully did forward my information to the service team, but still nothing. It finally took me eight attempts to actually get through, and thankfully, Daniel was incredibly helpful once I connected. However, I was really disappointed to hear the cost of having the solar panels removed and reinstalled would be around $4000 – that’s a significant expense.” report abuse
