I got quotes from a few different companies, and Thermo Shield stood out because they offered the most comprehensive range of energy-saving services. Caden, my consultant, was fantastic; he didn’t just try to sell me every possible upgrade, but really focused on what would give me the best return on investment, even suggesting some simple DIY improvements I could tackle myself. The whole process was incredibly organized, with clear documentation and secure online payments. And I really appreciated that they handled all the rebate paperwork for me through their partnership with APS. They even pointed me towards potential tax credits! The installation crew, Pedro and Ronald, were professional and did a fantastic job – they tackled everything from spray foam and blown-in insulation to sealing my ducts and repairing my knee wall. They were also incredibly tidy, cleaning up after themselves perfectly.   “Overall, the experience was really disappointing. The work started off well, but things went terribly wrong at the end. They completely missed monitoring the access point to the attic, and a huge amount of insulation and dust—30 years’ worth—was blown into my upstairs hallway and spread all over the front of my house, triggering the fire alarms. To add to the frustration, they didn’t even remove all the tape, leaving smudges and dirt on my walls. It seemed like they hadn’t properly turned off my HVAC system, as it pulled in a massive amount of dust. And to make matters worse, they were two to four hours late arriving in the first place. While they did offer a discount, I was left to deal with the entire cleanup myself with just a small handheld shop vac – it was completely inadequate. I wouldn't recommend them; I’d definitely look for a different contractor if you want someone who can deliver a complete and professional job from beginning to end.” report abuse
