  “We’ve been a long-time customer of Cookson Door, and we were really disappointed with our recent experience. After calling for a repair, they charged our credit card $800 for a quick 10-minute evaluation, and then suggested we needed a completely new door for $12,000. We ended up getting a much better quote and service from a competitor for just $200 and 45 minutes. Frankly, it feels like the new ownership isn't as knowledgeable or responsive as the previous team – Jeff was a bright spot, genuinely concerned about our concerns, but he couldn’t change the fact that the overall service was unacceptable.” report abuse

  “Honestly, my biggest concern with this company is the lack of reliability. Beyond the really poorly installed garage doors – and those Clopay doors just don't seem to hold up in Arizona’s heat – they’ve completely failed to deliver. They replaced the doors once after they separated, but the problem quickly returned. It’s really concerning about the overall integrity of the business, from the salesperson to the manager.” report abuse

  I’m really frustrated with this company. I contacted them about an issue and after a full week, I still haven’t received any response – not even an acknowledgment. To make matters worse, when I tried to follow up, I was bounced around to voicemail. I’ve been a customer since 2007, purchasing three large doors and openers, and it’s incredibly concerning that they’ve lost all the original system information. It feels like a significant lack of support, and based on what I’ve read in other reviews, it seems like a recurring problem. report abuse

  “I’m so happy with this company! Three of my neighbors have used them recently and were all thrilled with their prices and the quality of work. I recently had them do some routine maintenance on my garage door, and the technician was fantastic – he explained everything clearly and the price was really reasonable.   “I’ve been a loyal Cookson customer for five years, and they’ve always done a great job maintaining our garage doors. However, when we needed a new motor and a full door installation, I reached out to them. Unfortunately, the process was incredibly frustrating. I left several messages for the sales team, but I never received a return call. The receptionist kept telling me to leave more messages, and it felt like they weren't prioritizing my request. Ultimately, I had to go with another company who was much more responsive and got the job done quickly. I won't be using Cookson again.” report abuse

  “I had a really frustrating experience with Cookson Door Sales of AZ. I initially got a quote through their website after Clopay directed me to them as the local dealer. I was just in the early stages of planning a project and submitted a quote back then. A year later, after we’d actually started building, I followed up, but didn’t hear anything. I spoke with the sales manager, who unfortunately just pointed me back to the same salesperson who hadn't responded to my first inquiry. Finally, he did send me a quote, but months went by with no response. I escalated the issue with the sales manager, who simply asked the salesperson to get back to me “ASAP,” and still received no quote. Honestly, the lack of communication and responsiveness was incredibly disappointing, and I ended up having to seek out alternative dealers through Clopay. I’d strongly advise others to be cautious.” report abuse
