I did my research and they stood out because their team – everyone involved in my system – was actually from Boston Solar themselves. They were incredibly responsive to my questions and concerns throughout the whole process, which made me feel really confident. There was a slight delay with the inspection, I think due to some staffing issues, but overall, I’d definitely recommend them.   “We absolutely made the right choice choosing Boston Solar for our new solar panels. The installation looks fantastic, and we’re really excited about the energy we’re generating and the savings we’re expecting – it’s a great investment for the future. What really stood out to us was the personal service. From our first meeting with our consultant, it was clear they were a real company, and not just an online operation. It was incredibly reassuring to have a dedicated person guiding us through such a big decision. The installation team was fantastic too – they worked incredibly hard, especially on what turned out to be a really hot day, and did a beautiful, professional job. Boston Solar also handled all the paperwork and coordination with National Grid smoothly. They kept us informed every step of the way, which is something we really appreciated. Like any project with multiple moving parts, we did encounter a few minor hiccups, but the team responded quickly and efficiently to address them.   Overall, our experience with Boston Solar has been really positive. We were looking into solar panel installations in the summer and spoke with several companies before settling on Boston Solar. Working with Bill was fantastic – he was incredibly responsive and kept us fully in the loop throughout the entire construction process. Our project manager was also excellent, handling all the paperwork which was a huge relief. We did encounter a couple of minor technical glitches – a few times the data gateway didn’t upload correctly and one of the micro-inverters had connection issues. However, the technician was quick to walk us through the fixes, and the second issue with the micro-invert was resolved within a day after we sent an email. It’s worth noting that there was a supply chain issue during the summer which initially pushed back our start date, but Boston Solar kept us informed and finally got the project going in July. The construction itself went smoothly, and the activation process had a couple of hiccups that were quickly resolved. I’m really happy with the service we've received so far, and I’m confident Boston Solar will continue to provide great support. report abuse

  “Overall, working with Boston Solar felt really professional – they clearly did their homework and I was impressed with their process. From initial research to the surprisingly quick installation, everything went incredibly smoothly. The team handled all the paperwork and permits, and the return on investment was definitely worth considering. However, my experience since the installation has been really disappointing. I’ve been struggling to get a simple issue resolved, and it’s been a huge hassle. I’ve been bounced around and promised a call back from Tom for weeks now, but he never follows through.   “We were really impressed with Boston Solar – they were a breath of fresh air compared to other companies we spoke with. The whole process was incredibly smooth, from the initial questions about our solar panels and installation to the final connection with National Grid. Honestly, it moved much faster and more easily than we anticipated. The installation team was fantastic – friendly, incredibly efficient, and clearly very experienced. It was great to see they’d been with Boston Solar for so long, which gave us a real sense of confidence. They were on-site from 8am to 2:30pm, and we got connected just before the New Year.   “I couldn’t be happier with my experience with Boston Solar. I got quotes from three different companies and they were, by far, the best – both in price and experience. What really stood out was their honesty; they were upfront about the solar battery backup and actually steered me away from buying something I didn’t need, saving me money. They secured a great 15-year loan for me and I’m getting a monthly incentive from Eversource for 10 years, which will bring my energy costs down from around $330 a month to just about $200 over those 10 years. Honestly, it was a no-brainer. They provided high-quality panels and inverters – they don’t cut corners on the equipment – and the panels look fantastic on my house.   “I’m so glad I chose Boston Solar! Honestly, they were a bit pricier than some of the bigger national brands, but it was absolutely worth the investment. When you really dig into how their systems are built, they’re just a step above. Plus, the local support and technicians are fantastic – they’re incredibly honest and helpful. I needed a small part to finish my installation, and one of the guys actually drove to the Woburn warehouse, got it, and had it installed before the end of the day. No waiting around for parts to be shipped from somewhere else. The installers were great too; they patiently answered all my questions and even seemed to enjoy explaining how the whole system works. If you’re doing your research, I highly recommend checking out Boston Solar – you won’t regret it!” report abuse
