  “We were so thrilled with our experience choosing NuWatt for our solar panels. It was a pretty involved process researching companies in New England, but NuWatt really stood out. Their team was fantastic – incredibly patient and helpful, taking the time to answer all of our questions and walk us through the different solar options. They truly made us feel like valued customers, which made a huge difference. The installation itself was seamless and went exactly as scheduled, and now we’re completely powered by solar!   I’m incredibly disappointed with this company and felt compelled to share my experience. This is the first time I’ve ever left a negative review, but frankly, the level of service I received was unacceptable. I’m seriously considering filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office, and I’m exploring legal options if things don’t improve. The core issues stemmed from two major problems. First, the installation, which was supposed to take 2-4 months, didn’t begin until 10 months after we signed the contract in January 2022. They repeatedly pushed back the timeline, and it wasn’t until November 2022 that we finally got the system up and running – completely missing the entire summer and most of the fall. To add insult to injury, the system immediately had a software issue that took another month to resolve. Then, there was the completely faulty solar panel system. After less than six months, the breaker started tripping multiple times a week – anywhere from three to ten times – completely halting energy production. We received no notifications, and we had to manually check the breaker. It's been a nightmare, starting back in April 2023 and continuing through January 2024, with 17 unanswered emails and calls. They acknowledged the issue falls under warranty, but haven’t sent an electrician to fix it. It’s clear this company prioritizes volume over quality. They seem to just push projects onto their subcontractors without properly scaling their team or ensuring timely completion. It feels like they’re simply trying to sell as much as possible and don’t care about delivering on their promises. I wish I’d chosen a different company – I’ve heard positive things about others. report abuse

  Overall, we were incredibly pleased with our experience with NuWatt Energy. They provided the most competitive price and recommended the perfect solar panel system for our needs. Specifically, Adan Ascencio from the Woburn, MA office was fantastic – he was patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly listened to our questions and concerns. It was such a refreshing change from other solar companies we spoke with who felt more like pushy salespeople. We felt completely supported throughout the entire process, and if we were to do it all over again, we wouldn’t hesitate to choose NuWatt Energy. report abuse

  “I just wanted to say how pleased I am with the service I’ve received from NuWatt Energy. We recently had a problem with our inverter, and they responded incredibly quickly – within 24 hours! Their tech team took care of everything for the warranty claim, and the electrician is scheduled to come out as soon as the replacement arrives. Great service!” report abuse

  Overall, we had a really positive experience working with this company. Our customer representative, Adan, was fantastic – he was always responsive, incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. It was great that there were other team members who stepped in when Adan wasn’t available. The installation crew were also excellent – quick, efficient, polite, and kept everything very organized. The only reason I wouldn’t give them a full five stars is because the process took a little longer than we anticipated, and I felt like a bit more detail about the steps and timeline would have been helpful. I understand they’re actively working on improving the communication, and we’re thrilled with the results – the savings from our solar system have been amazing so far! report abuse

  “I was really hoping this company would deliver, but unfortunately, my experience has been incredibly frustrating. I started the process back in February 2022, attracted by their competitive pricing and some positive reviews – including a recommendation from a friend. However, it’s been a constant stream of delays and a complete lack of communication. We finally got an installation date in August, only to be left waiting with no updates because they hadn’t secured the necessary permits. Now, I’m contacting them every two weeks and consistently getting the same response: “waiting on our engineering department.” Honestly, if you have a lot of spare time, you could consider them, but I’d strongly advise looking at other options.” report abuse

  “Overall, this sales guy left a really bad impression. He was 45 minutes late, which I could understand, but he didn’t even let me know beforehand about needing to access the roof from the inside – I’d specifically mentioned it was a multi-family home with tenants. Then, during our initial phone conversation, he said the quote was all-inclusive, but when he arrived, he immediately started bringing up extra costs for moving the meters, which hadn’t been discussed. To top it off, he’d initially told me the job could be done by the end of the year, then changed his mind and gave me a timeline of sometime next spring. It felt like a complete bait and switch, and now I’m stuck scrambling to find another installer before the end of the year – I'm giving him a two-star rating at best.” report abuse

  “I’m extremely disappointed with Nuwatt’s handling of my solar project. They started the work about a year ago and, despite numerous delays, haven't completed it. From the moment we made the final payment, the communication became completely unreliable – they’d consistently provide inaccurate schedules, deflect blame onto others, and stop responding to my inquiries. The project is now over six months behind schedule, and frankly, they’ve been misleading me about everything. Because of this, I’m pursuing legal action. I strongly advise against using Nuwatt for your solar project.” report abuse
