  “I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality of work Mavericks did on my driveway back in June of 2023. Just eleven months later, it’s started cracking significantly. I contacted them multiple times to have it inspected, but I’ve received no response or visit from anyone. Now the cracking has worsened considerably, and I’ve been completely ignored by the company.” report abuse

  “I contacted this company for a driveway estimate and unfortunately had a really frustrating experience. I left a message and received a call back two weeks later, but the person I spoke with was incredibly rude – interrupting me, dismissing my questions, and just generally coming across as abrasive. He promised to get an estimate by the end of the week, but I never heard from him. Honestly, I was okay with that at the time. However, a month later, they called me back. I explained my previous conversation and how unprofessional it was, and they just responded with “what do you want from us? Do you want an appraisal?” It was clear they weren’t interested in addressing my concerns. At that point, I decided it was best not to pursue anything with them – their lack of follow-through and poor customer service were just unacceptable. It's puzzling because I’ve spoken to several neighbors who’ve used them and have beautiful driveways, but I can’t understand how they manage to get business if they’re so unresponsive and rude.” report abuse

  “I absolutely have to say, 1-800-Asphalt did an incredible job replacing our driveway! The owners and their team were fantastic – so helpful and willing to walk me through all the options to find the best solution for our situation. They even provided a really useful booklet on how to care for it. We chose them because we’d seen their excellent work on a neighbor’s driveway, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.   I am incredibly disappointed with my experience. The employee I spoke with was deeply disrespectful and made racist remarks, directly stating that he refused to serve me because of my race. It was a profoundly upsetting and discriminatory encounter, and frankly, unacceptable. I simply wanted to purchase asphalt for my driveway – a straightforward request, and yet I was turned away. It’s truly disheartening that a business offering such a service could operate with such prejudice. report abuse

  “I hired this company to build a small asphalt ramp into my garage, and unfortunately, the job was incredibly poorly handled. They caused a huge mess with tar splatters all over my house – a simple two-minute precaution with masking tape could have easily prevented this. When I brought it up, the owner dismissed it with a shrug, saying it “happens to everybody.” It was completely unacceptable. Then, there was the issue of the white spray paint on the asphalt, which I questioned. He later admitted to painting over it with black, despite claiming it was a temporary solution. The result is a messy, glossy black finish that’s just as unattractive. Overall, the customer service was careless and frustrating. I deeply regret my decision to hire them, especially considering they were more expensive than another contractor I’d contacted.” report abuse
