We’re encountering a serious problem at 201 E Lothrop – they’ve been pouring a significant amount of flowable fill, essentially concrete, directly over our 12-inch water main. This was done without any coordination with us, completely halting our progress. The workmanship is shockingly poor, with a concrete layer at least 6 feet thick and extending over 100 feet. It’s particularly concerning as we were already in the process of replacing this water main. The flowable fill is now at least 8 feet outside the agreed-upon scope of work. We’ll be working on this for the next few days, and you’re welcome to stop by and see the situation.
