  Kaufman Roofing completely exceeded our expectations when they replaced our roof – and our garage roof – after the August 2023 storm. We’d purchased our historic 1909 house in 2012 and had the original Kaufman roofs installed back in 2011. Given the complexity of our house – with its eight paired gables and numerous steep valleys – we knew we needed a roofing company with serious expertise, and Kaufman delivered. From the start, it was clear why Kaufman was the only choice. They immediately recognized the unique challenges our roof presented, and Tom Kaufman himself personally inspected the damage. While he couldn’t guarantee an immediate start date due to the widespread storm damage, we appreciated his honesty and the fact that he prioritized recreating our existing, highly customized roof solution. Throughout the process, Kaufman Roofing was incredibly responsive and professional. They worked closely with our insurance company to ensure a smooth coordination of the custom work and material selection (specifically sheet steel, not aluminum). The project itself was a truly impressive undertaking, with three of their in-house teams meticulously handling the shingles, metal basins, and flat roof. We were particularly impressed with their attention to detail – the metal team’s precision in rebuilding the steel basins was remarkable, and the entire operation was handled with a genuine commitment to quality. We felt completely secure knowing they were taking care of our home. Ultimately, the new Kaufman roof has functioned flawlessly, and we couldn’t be happier with the service we received.   Honestly, finding reliable contractors for home projects has been a real struggle for me. I’ve unfortunately experienced too many instances of poor quality work and a lack of genuine care. But I can confidently say that Kaufman is a company you can trust. From start to finish, everyone I dealt with – including Tyler – was incredibly professional, polite, and friendly, and they were always quick to respond. The quality of the work itself was fantastic, and the pricing was fair. They really took care of my property. I even had a city inspector check the roof after they finished, and he specifically mentioned Kaufman, saying that if there were any issues, they’d stand behind their work – that’s a huge reassurance.   Overall, it was a fantastic experience working with them – truly from start to finish.
