  Honestly, we were devastated when our house burned down, but we’re so incredibly grateful for the way Engelsma Homes handled everything. After looking at several builders, we knew they were the right choice, and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made. From start to finish, the entire team – Jason, Ryan, Kris, Corrine, and Allison – were fantastic. Jason and Ryan were amazing at navigating the tricky negotiations with our insurance company, which took a huge weight off our shoulders. And working with Kris as our project manager, alongside Corrine and Allison with their interior design work, made the whole build process so smooth and stress-free. They really listened to us and went above and beyond to accommodate every request. It genuinely felt like they were solely focused on our needs. We’re absolutely thrilled with the results and the professionalism we experienced at Engelsma Homes, right down to the contractors.   “Honestly, we were so pleasantly surprised by the work Engelsma did on our summer home addition. My husband and I have a lot of experience with renovations – we’ve added bathrooms and updated kitchens in our other homes – and we’ve unfortunately learned that projects often run behind schedule and exceed initial estimates. When Jason Engelsma told us the five-bedroom, seven-bath addition with the custom woodwork would be finished by the beginning of summer, we were understandably skeptical. But from start to finish, it was a fantastic experience! Everyone was incredibly professional and responsive. Jason was a fantastic problem-solver, Tyler kept the project moving smoothly and always answered our calls quickly, and Corinne truly championed our design ideas. Allison in the cabinet department was amazing, providing us with detailed drawings before we made any decisions.   “We absolutely loved working with Engelsma Homes! From start to finish, it was a truly positive experience. Jason Engelsma, in particular, was fantastic – he and the architect really helped us translate our ideas into a concrete design, and they brought a great sense of fun to the whole process. It was genuinely enjoyable working with them. The design team, Andrea and Jaclyn, were also incredible. They came to every meeting with us and my wife especially appreciated their help with all the selections. And let me tell you, our project manager, Jordan Cooper, was a lifesaver. He expertly navigated all the supply chain and labor challenges we faced, and we were thrilled to have our house completed ahead of schedule. He was that important to us! What really stood out was the company’s integrity. Jason went above and beyond when the local building officials in Grand Haven Township were adding unnecessary costs and delays to our project. He personally covered the extra expenses, and then they handled our custom staircase issue flawlessly – refusing to compromise on quality and ultimately absorbing the cost themselves. It’s rare to find such honesty and dedication in a contractor. Seriously, if you're building a home, work with Engelsma Homes. You won't regret it!
