  “I had a really frustrating experience with one of the employees, Ty. He not only overcharged me for the rental and added an unnecessary cleaning fee, but he was incredibly rude and dismissive when I questioned it. When I asked to speak with a manager, he continued to insist on the charges. Thankfully, Steven Bond was able to resolve the issue and issue a full refund, but my experience with Ty was unacceptable – his lack of customer service is appalling, and I won’t be renting from Home Depot again.” report abuse

  “I was incredibly disappointed with my recent experience. We waited a whole week for a large piece of equipment to arrive, and when it finally did, the staff had no idea how to operate it or offer any guidance. I ended up having to figure it out myself. Then, to make matters worse, the trailer lights weren’t working, and they spent nearly 35 minutes attempting a fix, ultimately admitting they couldn't obtain a basic electrical tester – it’s unbelievable! On top of that, the equipment wasn’t secured at all, and they couldn’t even show me how to properly chain it down. They were willing to let me leave the property with non-functioning lights and an unsecured load. Honestly, the whole situation was incredibly concerning. I’ve rented equipment from Home Depot locations across the state, and this was, without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had. I’d strongly recommend paying the extra $75 and choosing a different rental company.” report abuse

  “I’m incredibly disappointed with this experience. It felt like I was significantly overcharged, and the process was really confusing and stressful. I shared details about my job, and they responded by providing equipment that wasn’t quite right. I was given the wrong price initially, and then further charges were added, ultimately requiring me to rent a separate machine – blowing my budget by $800. To add insult to injury, after returning the equipment, I was told I could have chosen a more powerful machine. Frankly, I feel completely ripped off and am extremely concerned about this situation.   “I can’t recommend renting from this place. I’ve experienced two separate issues – receiving broken equipment twice now. However, the most frustrating part was dealing with the staff member I spoke with when I returned the second piece of equipment. She was incredibly confrontational and made me feel like I was in the wrong, even though I was simply trying to resolve the problem. I was hoping to exchange for something different, but her attitude completely put me off, and I definitely wouldn’t be renting from them again.” report abuse

  “My experience at Home Depot’s tool rental was pretty disappointing. The woman at the desk seemed incredibly unfriendly and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her. Ultimately, I ended up going to Sunbelt Rentals – they offered a similar size piece of equipment for almost the same price, which was a much better experience.” report abuse
