  Overall, Basement Masters did an absolutely fantastic job transforming our basement. They completed over 1000 square feet, including a great club room with wet bar, a full bathroom, an office, and even an insulated music room – and they finished a whole week ahead of schedule! Pavel, the owner, was incredibly responsive; I could easily reach him by phone or email with any questions, and he always got back to me right away. They really focused on quality and professionalism, and they gave us a very clear and reasonable price estimate upfront with a straightforward pricing structure.   “We completely transformed our flooded basement, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! The basement was a disaster – just a jumble of old junk left behind by the previous owner.   “We absolutely loved working with BM to finish our basement! From the very beginning, Pavel and his team were fantastic. We initially met with a couple of other contractors, and Pavel just stood out – his professionalism and the quality of his work were truly impressive. Booking the initial consultation through their online system was super easy, and their website had so many great ideas and photos that really helped us visualize our dream space. Pavel walked us through their process thoroughly, and we immediately felt like we were in good hands. When we decided to make some changes – adding a movie room and other details – Pavel was incredibly responsive, coming back within a day to update the plans and go over everything again with both of us.   We absolutely love our new basement living area, thanks to Basement Masters! They completely transformed our 1700 square foot basement into a fantastic adult entertainment space with a stunning custom bar – complete with a beautiful granite top – and a huge playroom for the grandkids. Honestly, the finished result is gorgeous. What really set Basement Masters apart was their incredible transparency. Pavel, the head of the company, provided us with a detailed line-by-line statement of work, outlining exactly what would be done and how much it would cost, plus a separate list of upgrade options. They were fantastic at offering advice, helping us make smart decisions about what to include. We were particularly impressed when the granite company initially delivered a slightly smaller bar top; Pavel quickly stepped in and within days, they had the correct size top installed – it was handled seamlessly.   “I couldn’t be happier with the work Basement Masters / ACH Group did for me. They originally did a fantastic job refinishing my basement a year ago – it’s still absolutely stunning! I hadn’t needed a powder room at the time, but when my son needed to stay with me after surgery and I realized I desperately needed one, I needed it installed quickly – within just eight days! Because I have a septic system and the basement is below grade, Pavel, the project manager, was able to get everything set up perfectly. He and the entire crew were incredibly professional, and they were meticulous about cleaning up each day. Honestly, you’d never know they were working there! The price was also a huge relief; they were significantly lower than the other two estimates I got – one wanted to install an upflush toilet that I didn't think was suitable, and the other couldn't guarantee the work would be completed on time. Pavel was always so responsive and helpful whenever I had a question.   Overall, we were really pleased with Basement Masters. We initially found them through online searches and were impressed with the positive reviews we saw on Angie’s List, which led us to join the service. We thoroughly vetted them – checking their licensing through the Maryland Better Business Bureau and the Maryland Department of Licensing and Regulation, and everything came back clear. What really stood out was Pavel, the owner. He was incredibly professional – taking his shoes off when he came into our home, and he even seemed to really like our dog! He presented a really well-organized portfolio of services, and we immediately felt like we could work with him because of his enthusiasm and clear vision. We’d interviewed quite a few contractors before, and Pavel was different; he really focused on communication, saying that keeping us informed was key to a smooth process. There were a few moments where the language felt a little tricky to navigate, but Pavel always worked to find a solution. He was also diligent about providing references, and we contacted six of them – three responded immediately, two called back, and one left a voicemail. Everyone we spoke with had fantastic things to say. Ultimately, the biggest question was, “Would we hire them back?” And the answer was a resounding “Yes!” They delivered a fantastic basement renovation, finished ahead of schedule by a week, and even sent in their best team to quickly resolve a minor issue we had.
