  “We’re so glad we went with Clayco for our home solar system – it turned out to be a fantastic decision! From the initial contact all the way through the installation, everything ran incredibly smoothly. Jarrod and Andrea were always there to answer our questions and make us feel completely comfortable. The installation crew was also fantastic – incredibly professional and they always took the time to clean up after themselves. They recognized the need to completely renovate my roof, and proactively took care of my solar panels, removing them safely until the work was finished. And the best part?   “Overall, I had a fantastic experience with Clayco. From the initial quote to getting my roof replaced and finally installing my solar system, their communication was consistently excellent. They really went the extra mile to handle a few unexpected challenges – issues outside of their control – and I’m so grateful they were able to resolve them and get my system up and running.   Clayco’s handling of this situation was deeply concerning. They were brought in by Sunlight Financial to address abandoned solar projects originally handled by POWER4WARD, and their initial behavior was completely unprofessional. After scheduling an appointment that they then missed – no call, no show – they reacted defensively and emotionally, insisting they didn’t work for me and weren’t obligated to fulfill the agreement. It felt like a significant misunderstanding and a refusal to take responsibility for their missed appointment. While I appreciate accountability, their response was overly dramatic and ultimately demonstrated a lack of professionalism and customer service. Frankly, it felt like they weren't willing to commit to the work. This experience has been documented with Sunlight Financial, and I don’t believe Clayco possesses the necessary temperament to effectively manage clients in situations like this. report abuse

  “We were really pleased with the whole experience! They were professional, honest, and did a fantastic job installing our [system - assuming it’s a solar panel system based on the timeframe]. Plus, the final cost matched their initial estimate perfectly. I contacted them to add some panels to my system, and they were incredibly responsive and came up with innovative solutions that others hadn’t even considered. Their bids were significantly better than the competition. The whole process, from scheduling the installation to the work itself, was seamless and professional. The team was fantastic – respectful of my property and really collaborative.   “I have some serious concerns about this project. It’s really important that the contract clearly states the electrician is responsible for *all* electrical work at the panel – they’ve previously been known to cut corners, and I want to avoid that. While the employees are reliable, the owner’s approach needs to be more transparent and trustworthy.” report abuse

  “Clay and his team did an absolutely fantastic job installing our solar system. They drove over 100 miles to get here for three days, and they were incredibly accommodating, working around our existing panel racks – something we really appreciated. They used the top-of-the-line Enphase Q-Cells and mini-inverters, which are industry leaders, and the whole process was very efficient and straightforward. Plus, we got a fantastic price, significantly lower than other quotes we received. I wholeheartedly recommend Clayco for solar and electrical work.” report abuse

  “I was really pleased with Clayco’s work – they stepped in to finish the solar panel installation on my home after the original company unexpectedly shut down. They were incredibly responsive to my questions and concerns, even going above and beyond by staying in contact with the county to get my permit reactivated. They quickly identified what was missing and got everything finalized, and it’s now fully operational and approved by TEP. While the project wasn't a huge financial investment for them, they treated me with great respect and professionalism, and I’m so glad I chose them.” report abuse
