  “We hired Old Towne Custom Concrete based on the positive reviews we’d read, but unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing. We’d worked with Josh to design a 20x20 stamped concrete patio that would drain away from our house, and when the job was finished, it was riddled with problems. The patio actually directed water straight back towards our foundation, creating uneven spots that made our furniture unstable and a constant pool of water. The stamping was patchy, and they left a mess of leftover concrete and gravel in our yard. Even worse, they damaged a nearby sidewalk during the process. We brought these issues to Josh’s attention, and he initially offered a quick fix for the pooling water, but we insisted that the real solution was to completely repour the patio to address the drainage. Recognizing the complexity of that, we suggested a 50% discount. Instead, Josh responded with a shockingly aggressive email threatening legal action if we didn’t pay the full amount immediately. After Josh came out and made a minimal adjustment, it actually worsened the drainage. Eventually, he completely backtracked on the discount agreement and offered only a $150 reduction. We were simply too frustrated to continue working with him, so we paid the bill, but the original problems—the drainage, the damaged sidewalk, and the poor quality of the stamping—were never properly addressed.” report abuse

  “I was really impressed with Josh and his team. Honestly, there were so many concrete companies in the Madison, Huntsville area that it was tough to know where to start. I decided I wanted to work with a smaller company where the owner was hands-on, and Josh fit the bill perfectly. After doing some research, including reading reviews and talking with him about my project, I knew he was the right choice. Josh was fantastic – he walked me through the entire process, helped me choose the right finishes, and even offered suggestions to make the project better. I did make a few changes along the way, and he was incredibly easy to work with, never seeming frustrated at all. It was great to feel like we were on the same page. You could tell he really cared about getting the job done right, and he took the time to customize it to my specific needs. It’s also important to mention that I had a fence installed by another company beforehand, and they were a complete mess – using subcontractors who weren’t communicative and even started working on the project without confirming they were at the right house. That’s why I was so careful in my selection, and Josh’s professionalism and attention to detail were a huge relief. But ultimately, it all comes down to the quality of the work, and Josh delivered. He did an absolutely outstanding job – leveling the driveway so it drains properly, matching it up to my fence for future additions, and even educating me on how to properly maintain it for years to come. He took all the necessary precautions, like taping off my house to protect it. Seriously, he went above and beyond. I felt like I wasn’t just paying for the concrete itself, but for the incredible care and attention he put into the job.   Josh was fantastic – truly a professional and talented contractor. He completely transformed our back patio, handling the resurfacing, stamping, and coloring with incredible skill. He really took the time to explain everything to us and was happy to incorporate our design ideas. You could tell he was genuinely dedicated to getting the job done perfectly, and we absolutely love the finished result!   Josh and Old Towne Custom Concrete were absolutely fantastic – I can’t recommend them enough! I needed a 12’ x 12’ concrete pad in my backyard, and from start to finish, Josh was incredibly responsive and really helped me bring my vision to life. He walked me through the whole process, and honestly, my original idea seemed pretty simple compared to what he delivered. The entire job, including the estimate, grading, framing, gravel, pour, stamping, and staining, took just five days – a huge amount of work completed so quickly! We had to be patient due to some rain, but as soon as the weather cleared, Josh and his team got right to it. The finished product is just gorgeous! I absolutely love the brick stamping and stain. Beyond the amazing quality of the work, Josh is a genuinely kind and trustworthy person, and it was really special talking with him about our shared experiences. He’s clearly passionate about what he does, and he treated my project with the respect it deserved. Seriously, if you’re looking for a concrete project, don’t hesitate – go with Josh and Old Towne Custom Concrete!
