I was really impressed with Maclellan’s service. My elderly parents’ furnace died unexpectedly on a Saturday, and thankfully, they were able to get it resolved quickly. The woman who initially answered the phone was so friendly and connected us with Hugh, who was incredibly kind and honest about the potential delay. He was fantastic at keeping me updated, calling back within minutes to let me know a technician, Nate, was available. Nate was punctual and did a great job diagnosing the problem and explaining our options – it turned out the furnace was 20 years old, so we decided to replace it. They worked around our schedule and got my parents back to a warm home by the end of the day, which was amazing! The whole team was professional, the price was fair, and they left the work area spotless. I’d definitely recommend Maclellan’s to anyone. – Olga

“I was really disappointed with my experience with this company. Nate came out to look at our boiler on November 16th when it wasn’t working, and while he correctly identified the issue and replaced the faulty component, he then discovered the burners were missing brackets and the unit was unsafe. He ended up shutting it down. He billed me for 1.5 hours of work, but the work order stated he spent 2.5 hours – it felt dishonest. To add to that, they’re still trying to charge me $69 for the replacement power pile, which we now can’t even use. Honestly, the whole experience felt a bit deceptive, and I’d definitely advise against choosing this company – especially if you don't have a significant amount of money set aside for unexpected repairs, like the $10,800 quote we received for a new installation.”
