  “We hired Johansen Fence & Gate back in July 2024, even before we officially moved to Tucson, because we really wanted to get a shade structure installed as soon as possible. After getting a quote that was a bit too high, we reached out to Johansen, and we were really impressed with their pricing – it was much more competitive while still maintaining a high standard of quality and workmanship. They handled the entire project, which included the shade structure, some new fencing and gates, and they were fantastic at navigating the city approval process. Cody was a huge help, explaining all the requirements and guiding us through the design and structural checks. Because of his expertise, we were able to make some key changes to the design that sped up the approval process. While we waited, they even got the fencing and gates installed! Once the city gave the green light on the shade structure in mid-April, Johansen’s team got to work on the big installation – it was a 12’ x 38’ structure with fans and lighting. Our older home presented some electrical challenges, but they tackled each one with speed and efficiency, always leaving us in a better position than before. They were also incredibly considerate, making sure not to block our alley, which was really appreciated by our neighbors. Seriously, from Cody himself to the whole team – the design folks and the guys on-site – everyone was just professional, efficient, and genuinely kind.   “We were so pleased with the work Johansen Team did for our carport – they installed two pedestrian gates and a sliding gate, all metal, and it looks fantastic! Cody and his design team were amazing; they were incredibly patient with us as we figured out what we wanted, offering really helpful suggestions and taking the time to explain everything. Once we met with Cody at their design center, the whole project really came together. The gates themselves are beautifully crafted and incredibly sturdy, and Steve and Danny, along with the installation team, did a fantastic job, especially considering the brutal heat. They really paid attention to the details, smoothing out the stucco around the frames and even doing hand-painted touchups to make it look absolutely perfect. Communication was excellent throughout the whole process – Cody and the team were always responsive and incredibly thorough. It took about three months from our initial contact to the final install, and we were happy to take our time selecting the right design. While the price was a bit higher than some of the other quotes we received, we felt completely confident in their customer service and the quality of their workmanship.   “I can’t recommend these guys highly enough! From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and went above and beyond. Cody was fantastic – he took the time to measure everything accurately, discussed design options thoroughly, and even brought samples to show us. Stephen was also a real pleasure to work with, showing us their facility and letting us see the samples in a larger setting. They consistently checked in on the progress of our design and measurements, and they were always friendly and approachable. On installation day, the crew was amazing; they finished the job quickly and expertly, and even took the initiative to repair and repaint some of the surrounding stucco – a really thoughtful touch. I commissioned three 3’x7’ steel trellises to be built and installed alongside my garage, and they completely exceeded my expectations. I provided initial drawings with detailed artwork, and Cody and Steven worked closely with me, sending several renderings until we achieved a fantastic final design – actually better than what I’d initially envisioned. The quality of the steel was outstanding, and the installation crew did a superb job, ensuring the trellises were perfectly spaced, level, and positioned. They really took the time to collaborate with us over the course of two weeks as we refined the design, and we went through quite a few revisions.
