“I used Tri Tech for a property survey when I bought my home, and the seller covered the cost. Four years later, I contacted them to get a copy of the original survey file, and they insisted I pay $150 to have them retrieve it from their system. It felt completely unreasonable – like they were simply charging a fee for a very quick task. Honestly, it seemed like a way to pad their profits, and I don’t understand why it couldn’t have been done in just a few minutes. It’s clear from other recent reviews that I’m not alone in finding this “policy” incredibly frustrating. I’d strongly recommend looking for a different surveying company.”

“We’ve been really impressed with Tri-Tech’s builder – their surveys are consistently accurate and detailed. McKennzie has been fantastic to work with too, with excellent communication and a very responsive team. Overall, a great company with truly awesome people.”

“I wanted to let you know about a concerning incident involving a driver in one of your pickup trucks on Sam Houston Tollway this afternoon. They were incredibly reckless, cutting me off and nearly causing an accident. I have video evidence from my dashcam documenting the event, and frankly, it reflects poorly on your company’s standards of driving.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with Tri-Tech’s handling of this situation. A client of mine obtained a survey years ago through them, and when they needed a copy, Tri-Tech demanded $150 to provide it – money they’d already received. They essentially held the copy hostage until we paid them. I spoke with Barbara and Rebecca Harvey, and frankly, their response felt dismissive and unreasonable. Thankfully, I was able to contact the Title Company involved in the original transaction, who promptly provided us with a free copy. This whole experience has left me extremely concerned about Tri-Tech’s business practices. It feels like they’re prioritizing profit over customer service, and their behavior was disrespectful. I’ll be sharing this experience with my other real estate contacts – it’s clear they operate on greed and risk losing valuable referrals.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Tri-Tech. It feels like they’re just focused on extracting extra money from customers – they really seem to prioritize nickel-and-diming. I used them four times during my home build, paying for separate surveys for the land, foundation, and final build. Now, for my new backyard project, I just wanted to send a digital copy of the survey to my contractors, but they refused, demanding $150 to release a PDF version that they’d apparently already created! They even tried to shift the blame onto my builder, despite the fact that I was the one who paid for everything. I eventually found the PDF in my spam folder. It’s completely unacceptable how they treat loyal customers, and honestly, it’s a shame – they’re losing business by being so greedy.”
-
“I had a paid survey completed, and unfortunately, there was a significant discrepancy. The final floor elevation they provided was 101, but after verifying with multiple calculations, it should have been 123. This represents an error of approximately 20%. I brought this to their attention, and they quoted a $350 fee to correct the issue.”
-
“This professional service provider really impressed me. They demonstrated a strong commitment to ethical business practices, and it was clear that their over 27 years of experience significantly contributed to the quality of their work.”
-
“McKenzie and the whole Tri-Tech team consistently deliver fantastic results – they’re a truly talented and reliable group.”
-
“This employee consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, showing genuine care and a real commitment to their role. They were always willing to go the extra mile, eager to please customers and incredibly determined to see things through to completion.”
-
Overall, this company seems like a solid choice – a genuinely good survey company.
