  Overall, my experience with Chapman Service was mixed. They were really responsive and got the job done quickly – they replaced a thermostat and capacitor for me on short notice. However, I was significantly surprised by the cost. The initial diagnostic fee alone was $120, and then they charged $215 to replace the thermostat and an additional $147 for the capacitor, plus tax. For such a straightforward job, it felt incredibly expensive. I appreciate that they explained the costs upfront, and I agreed to them, which is understandable when you need your AC fixed on a hot day. But frankly, the total cost – nearly $500 – seemed far higher than what I’d expect for a job like this. I’ve had a similar thermostat replaced recently by another company in the area for a much lower price, and it highlighted just how high Chapman Service’s fees were. To be clear, they charged separate diagnostic fees for each of the two buildings, even though only one was actually accessible and serviced. report abuse

  I have to say, I’m incredibly pleased with this company. When they initially installed their system back in 2016, Dan was fantastic – he really took the time to understand our specific needs and budget, and he never pushed us into anything. Since then, every service call has been smooth and professional. The technicians are always punctual, polite, and respectful of our property. I really appreciate that they always get the necessary authorization before starting any work and they’ve always taken the time to explain everything clearly, answer my questions, and make me feel like a valued customer. report abuse

  I can’t say enough good things about Chapman Service. They were absolutely fantastic when our old HVAC system finally died on November 14th – it was the day before my son’s birthday and the first really cold weather we’d had. I was expecting a chilly weekend, but with guests arriving, I decided to call. They responded incredibly quickly, sending someone out by 1 p.m. We quickly got a contract in place, and they immediately got to work, even working late and through the weekend to get the job done.   Chapman did an absolutely fantastic job completely overhauling the electrical and HVAC systems in my house. They were incredibly responsive and got the job done quickly and to a really high standard.   Chapman really stepped up for me during this difficult time without HVAC. They were incredibly responsive and got my service fixed within just a couple of days – a huge relief. I appreciated that they answered all my questions and walked me through the operation of the new control panel, even helping me set it up so I can control the system from my phone.
