  “Our experience with Custom Floor Covering was incredibly frustrating and, ultimately, a major ordeal. From the start, the quality of the hardwood installation was seriously flawed, requiring a complete removal and reinstallation – a process that caused significant disruption and mess in our home. Adding to the problem, they also damaged adjacent ceramic tiles, and frankly, the entire experience was marked by a difficult and uncomfortable relationship with the company. Despite our best efforts to resolve the issues, they repeatedly disputed the damage and attempted to deduct costs, leading to a legal battle. This was made even more challenging due to the timing – during the COVID-19 pandemic – and a deeply unsatisfactory legal process involving a Justice of the Peace who seemed to misunderstand the facts. It became clear they weren’t being honest, and we ultimately decided to cut our losses. We’re sharing this story to warn others. Custom Floor Covering seemed determined to shift the blame onto us, and we felt completely misled. We believe anyone considering flooring should be aware of the potential pitfalls and prioritize working with a company that values honesty and responsibility.   “Honestly, my experience with this company was incredibly disappointing. Initially, Andy was really friendly and helpful when we first spoke in his store. However, things quickly went downhill. He became incredibly difficult to deal with – constantly talking over us and rarely answering our specific questions. We’d always have to chase him up for updates, and he never seemed to follow through on his promises of a call back. The whole process was incredibly slow, requiring us to repeatedly call and visit the store just to get anything done. Then, just a couple of weeks later, the price suddenly jumped by $5,000 with no explanation. When I questioned him about it, he offered a series of unbelievable excuses, which didn’t add up. To top it off, he ended the conversation by yelling at me and telling me to take my business elsewhere! It was completely unprofessional, and thankfully we were able to move forward with a much better and more reliable company, Flooring Express.” report abuse
