David and Caleb arrived on time and David was incredibly experienced – he and Caleb quickly fixed the detached rail and worn-out rollers in just about an hour on the same day I called. I especially appreciated that there were no extra charges for being called out, and that David patiently explained why they didn’t think the springs needed replacing, saving me from potentially unnecessary costs. The door is working so much smoother and quieter now, and it was a genuinely hassle-free resolution to a stressful morning.   “I recently had my garage door repaired by Precision, and I was really pleased with the service. The problem turned out to be a broken spring, and I couldn’t raise the door myself. They scheduled a technician to arrive within 2-3 hours, and Sebastian arrived a little early – just as he promised. He was incredibly thorough, checking not just the broken spring but also my other doors as I requested. He clearly explained the other issues he found in a way that was easy to understand, and I approved the work right away.   “I was in a really stressful situation – my car was stuck in the garage and I had a doctor’s appointment to get to. I contacted several garage door companies, but no one could come out the same day, with most offering appointments weeks away. Then I called Precision Door, and they were amazing! A technician arrived within just a few hours, and the whole repair took less than two hours. He was incredibly friendly and explained everything clearly, making the whole experience so much smoother.   “I was incredibly frustrated with my experience. The woman I spoke with completely missed the point – she didn’t understand I was locked out due to a malfunctioning garage door. Instead of trying to help, she suggested a locksmith and then hung up on me after putting me on hold. It was incredibly rude and showed absolutely no customer service skills.   “I was really impressed with Elite – they were fantastic! I called them after my door spring broke, and they sent someone out the same day, which was much quicker than the dispatch team had predicted. The technician really took the time to walk me through all my repair options, explained the pricing for each one, and even helped me understand the warranty choices. Best of all, he had the parts on hand, and the initial inspection and advice were completely free.   Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on that text: “I really regret not checking out the reviews before hiring this company. The 4.6-star rating made me feel confident, but it seems they’ve gone through some changes. The installer brought up a concern about the opener not being UL-listed, and I had to correct him – it was clearly marked for both residential and commercial doors. Then, they immediately started pushing to sell me a very expensive installation package, and even offered to ‘recycle’ my old opener. Frankly, the labor quote for fixing their mistake was absurd – a $500 charge for a job that took only 45 minutes left me feeling completely ripped off. Seriously, it was that bad. I almost made a joke about my kid’s medical career!   Brandon was fantastic – truly a pleasure to work with! He called me as he was heading my way, arrived promptly, and took the time to explain exactly why I needed a new garage door opener. He was so friendly and clearly knowledgeable, walking me through all the features of the new opener before installing it flawlessly. I really appreciated his help programming it, and he even gave me his cell number if I had any questions later on.   I am absolutely furious with this company. I hired them to install a new garage door opener, and it’s been 10 days and the job is *still* unfinished. It’s clear they’re completely incompetent. I was initially quoted $800 for a LiftMaster opener, which they insisted was the only one available because they said they didn’t have any other options – despite advertising other units. Then, after they’d already installed the LiftMaster, they suddenly discovered a problem with the anchor and demanded an additional $700 to fix it. They then refused to reinstall our old unit because they’d already put the new one together! To top it all off, they charged us an extra $200 for a remote control. Now, the new anchor is a terrible fit and the whole job is still not properly completed. I’ve been trying to get anyone to respond to my calls and emails, but they’re completely ignoring me. Seriously, **do not use this company – they’re a total scam.** report abuse

  “I was pretty pleased with the technician’s work applying the lubricant I brought, but I was really surprised by the $120 charge. I wasn’t informed about a minimum labor cost beforehand, and when I questioned it, the customer service I spoke with was unfortunately unhelpful and didn’t really address my concerns. Honestly, the biggest issues were the unexpected cost and the lack of transparency about the fees. I’ve always had great experiences with Elite in the past, like when David Dimas installed my opener, but this interaction felt very different and lacking in customer service.” report abuse
