“Overall, my experience wasn’t great. The reviews I’d read seemed outdated, and the pickup process was incredibly slow. I waited over an hour, even though the lot wasn’t crowded. The employee was just really slow, taking ages to get the truck and complete his paperwork. It was frustrating. While the truck itself was in excellent condition – better than I’ve seen from U-Haul – I definitely won’t be waiting around for extended periods to pick one up again. To top it off, they even forgot to include the dolly I requested, and then tried to charge me for it afterward.”

This was an incredibly frustrating experience. It took nearly an hour just to check in my Echo weed eater for a simple repair, and then they had to take the machine back to my truck due to computer issues. The employee seemed completely lost and had to call for help, and the fact that no other staff members offered assistance was really disappointing. We waited an extra 10 minutes for someone to actually take my payment, and ultimately just left with the machine because it was such a disorganized mess. I heard another customer had been waiting for two hours to rent a truck – it seems like there are always problems here.”

I was really frustrated when I was out of town and my fiancé had to deal with a leak at the house. I’d hoped Home Depot’s tool rental department would offer some assistance – someone to guide her on what to rent and even help with loading everything up. Unfortunately, she felt completely ignored and treated like a contractor, and received no advice or support at all. It just felt like a missed opportunity, and I was disappointed that she had to handle everything on her own. Despite the machines themselves working well, the lack of assistance was a significant issue.

“I had an incredibly frustrating experience renting a carpet extractor from Home Depot. The associate pressured me into renting a shampooer instead of the extractor I initially needed – it turned out to be a faulty piece of equipment, and I ended up wasting time returning it. Then, the replacement had a serious electrical problem and wouldn’t even turn on. When I contacted them to report it, I was passed off to Billy and Kyle who offered no real solutions, just empty apologies. I was stuck on the phone for over 20 minutes before they abruptly hung up. When I called back, Billy was suddenly unavailable. To top it all off, Kyle refused to provide the manager’s name and directed me to a toll-free number, which didn't help at all. I felt completely dismissed and treated like I was simply too inexperienced to understand basic appliance operation. This whole situation was incredibly inconvenient, costing me time and money, and completely lacking in customer service. It’s clear they don’t take responsibility for their mistakes, and frankly, it’s unacceptable. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and I strongly advise anyone considering using Home Depot to think twice.”

“The staff were incredibly helpful throughout my purchase – I really appreciated their assistance.”
-
Colin was fantastic – really helpful and a pleasure to deal with at tool rental.
-
“Unfortunately, I had a really negative experience. There seemed to be no quality control – I had a problem with a truck rental here before, and I won’t be renting from this location again.”
-
It seems like a really straightforward and accessible tool purchase – quick to get, and thankfully, not a huge upfront cost for the tools themselves.
-
“Everything went really smoothly – the service was great as always.”
-
“I wouldn’t recommend renting from that place. They gave me a tool that was completely useless, and I ended up getting charged for it – it was a really frustrating experience.”
