“Overall, my experience wasn’t great. I noticed the reviews I’d read were quite dated, and it really showed. I had a frustrating time picking up a truck – it took over an hour, even though they didn’t seem particularly busy. The employee was very slow, taking an excessive amount of time to get the truck and complete the paperwork. While the truck itself was in excellent condition, I definitely won’t be willing to wait that long again. To add to the problem, they forgot to include a dolly, despite him noting the request, and then added an unnecessary charge for it that he had to reverse. ”

“My experience at this place was really frustrating. It took nearly an hour just to get an Echo weed eater checked out, and then they had to take it back to my truck because of computer problems. The employee seemed completely lost and had to call someone else for help, even though other staff members were around who could have assisted. To make matters worse, there was a long wait for payment, and I ended up leaving with my machine after about 10 minutes. I heard another customer had been waiting for two hours to rent a truck – it’s clear there are some significant issues with their operation.”

“I was really frustrated when I was out of town and my fiancé had to deal with a leak at the house. I’d hoped Home Depot’s tool rental department would be a helpful resource, but she felt completely ignored and treated like a contractor, even though she was clearly just trying to figure things out. She didn't receive any advice on what to rent or assistance with getting the equipment to the car. Despite the rental equipment itself working well, the lack of support was a significant issue.”

“I had a truly awful experience renting a carpet extractor from Home Depot. The associate pressured me into renting a shampooer instead of the extractor I originally needed, and it turned out to be a broken piece of equipment. I wasted time and money returning it, only for the replacement to have a faulty electrical plug and not even turn on. When I called to report this, I was met with incredibly dismissive responses – essentially told ‘too bad, so sad’ and put on hold for over 20 minutes before they just hung up. Then, when I called back, the associate abruptly ended the conversation. To add insult to injury, they refused to provide the manager’s name and directed me to a toll-free number where I felt completely unheard. I lost valuable time, missed important deadlines, and frankly, felt belittled, like my concerns weren't being taken seriously. It’s clear Home Depot doesn't prioritize customer service or accountability; they just pass the blame. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and strongly advise anyone considering doing business with them to think twice.”

“The staff were incredibly helpful during my purchase – I really appreciated their assistance.”
-
“Colin was fantastic – really professional and a pleasure to deal with at tool rental.”
-
“Unfortunately, I had a really negative experience. There seemed to be no quality control – I had a problem with a truck rental here before, and I won’t be returning to this location.”
-
“It was really convenient – quick to get set up and the deposit on the tools wasn’t too high.”
-
“The service was, as always, excellent.”
-
“I wouldn’t recommend renting from that place. They gave me a tool that was completely useless, and then charged me for it – it felt really unfair.”
