  “I had a really frustrating experience renting an excavator from this place yesterday. After just an hour, they had to disconnect and re-attach the trailer because the machine was clearly malfunctioning. To make matters worse, they hadn’t actually received the equipment I needed, and it took another hour to sort out the issue and get a refund. I wouldn’t recommend renting from them.” report abuse

  Honestly, my experience with Sunbelt was incredibly disappointing. They initially seemed fully committed, assuring me I could complete my schooling as long as I had a job. However, unforeseen circumstances forced me to put my studies on hold, and suddenly Sunbelt just dropped me without a second thought. It felt completely callous – they made grand promises, but the moment things got tough, they were nowhere to be found. It’s clear they only care about themselves, and I wouldn’t recommend anyone pursue opportunities with them, especially if you’re balancing work and education.   “I booked a lift a couple of weeks ahead of time, but when I went to pick it up at the scheduled time, I was told it wasn’t available. They suggested I try again next week if I brought my own trailer. Honestly, I’ll be looking into a different equipment rental company – it seems like this one doesn’t reliably have the equipment they advertise.” report abuse

  “I was really disappointed with the service we received. We rented an insulation removal system and the associate didn’t disclose any potential extra charges during our conversation. When the machine arrived the next day with the crew ready to work, it wouldn’t even turn on – the battery was dead, and the hose was incredibly damaged with so many tears it looked like it had been through a war. We ended up having to pay the crew overtime every time we had to recharge the battery. It felt completely unprofessional that the equipment wasn’t checked beforehand, and I was also confused about the $500 deposit – I wasn’t informed about its purpose.   “We had an absolutely fantastic experience renting a skidsteer through this company. Elias and Mike were incredibly helpful – they patiently showed my husband how to operate the machine and were always professional. I had a good interaction with Brian when I initially rented some equipment, he was really helpful. However, when I returned the equipment, I encountered some significant issues. If you’re renting a trailer, please, please take your own photos of it when you pick it up, especially the tires. I was unexpectedly charged $200 for a tire with a separated tread, which I found completely unacceptable. Furthermore, despite offering to help with a heavy item, they insisted on using a forklift and, unfortunately, scratched my brand new truck tailgate – one that was only a week old! To make matters worse, the person taking pictures of the damage seemed to dismiss the issue, joking that it was 'just a truck.'   “I would strongly advise anyone considering working with Sunbelt to get a detailed, written estimate and have it signed before proceeding. We found them to be incredibly difficult to deal with – they seemed more interested in maximizing profits than assisting us, especially when we encountered issues like the rainy day we experienced. Frankly, they were a very poor company to work with, and as a construction business constantly needing equipment, we would absolutely never use Sunbelt again.” report abuse
