  I had a mixed experience at this rental place. Brian was really helpful when I picked up my equipment and was a pleasure to deal with. However, when I returned it, I had a major issue with the trailer. They charged me an extra $200 for a tire that had a completely separated tread – it was completely unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone renting a trailer to take their own photos of the equipment when they pick it up, especially the tires. To add to the frustration, they insisted on using a forklift to move a sod cutter, which unfortunately scratched the tailgate of my brand new truck, which I’d only owned for a week. The employee involved seemed dismissive about the damage, even laughing about it and saying “well, it IS a truck.” Honestly, scratches on a truck that’s only a week old aren’t acceptable! report abuse

  “We had a really disappointing experience with Sunbelt. Before moving forward with any rental, it’s absolutely crucial to get a detailed, written estimate and have it signed. Unfortunately, they added a surprising number of hidden charges, and weren’t particularly helpful when we needed assistance. During a rainy day, they were arguing amongst themselves, which was incredibly frustrating. As a construction business, we rely on equipment, and we wouldn’t recommend using Sunbelt again.” report abuse

  Overall, my experience here has been frustrating, primarily due to equipment rental delays. I really wish I didn’t have to rely on this place – I’d much rather go to Sunstate or A to Z Equipment. Unfortunately, they frequently don’t have my reserved equipment ready when I arrive, regardless of how much notice I gave. It often feels like they don't prioritize my time, and assistance with unloading is usually only offered when absolutely essential. I recently visited the Tempe location and experienced a particularly long wait – over an hour, as is often the case. Thankfully, Sean, who I believe is a manager, stepped in and resolved the issue, providing his contact information to ensure this doesn’t repeat. Because of Sean’s proactive approach, I’m willing to give them another chance and am adjusting my rating to a 3-star. report abuse
