“Overall, my experience with this company was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. The solar installation took nearly five months to complete, starting in December/November of 2023 and finally finishing in May. We were promised a Google Nest thermostat, which we never received. The biggest issue was the way they presented the financial information – they drastically overstated the savings we’d see with the tax credit, spreading the payments over ten years instead of offering a lump sum. My monthly payments went from an estimated $250 to $210, and the solar installation itself cost $205 more than initially quoted. I spoke with several people throughout the process, including Bryant (the original sales person), Steven (who seemed to be his boss), and Tasha and Sabrina. They consistently presented a number that sounded good, but then buried details in the fine print that significantly reduced the actual savings. When I questioned these discrepancies, they stopped responding to my concerns. Adding to the problems, the installation took nearly five months – far longer than the agreed-upon 120 business days. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.”

“Overall, the installation itself went really well – they got it up and running in July after the contract was signed in May and the initial install was in June. We did have to follow up on a missing component – we specifically requested bird-proofing, and thankfully they corrected that and sent someone out to complete the installation. However, we’re not seeing the energy savings we were expecting, which is a bit disappointing. Our utility company is causing a lot of the problem with their billing practices, and OnPoint probably hasn’t had much experience working with them, so it’s not entirely their fault.”

“Overall, our experience with Dylan and OnPoint Solar was incredibly disappointing. We were initially told the installation would be paid for in full, but he misled us about the increasing costs and failed to accurately represent the expected energy usage. It took an unacceptable three months to get the panels operational, and they didn’t even meet our initial projections – we’re now paying more than we would have with AEP. To add to the frustration, we specifically asked that they not turn anything on until we’d thoroughly reviewed the work, and they ignored our request to remove the panels when we weren’t satisfied. I contacted customer service hoping for a resolution, but they were unhelpful, so I'm considering reaching out to them again.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Onpoint Solar. Since having them install my solar package, my SRP bills have consistently been far above $100, and I’ve been unable to get any real help or resolution from them. It turns out they didn’t properly advise me about the need for a battery to optimize the system, and now I’m stuck paying for an incomplete installation. Adding to the problem, the salesman, Joseph McConnell, misled me about potential government refunds that were supposed to go towards my loan. I’ve followed through on all the necessary paperwork, but haven’t received any reimbursement. Now I'm juggling payments to Onpoint and a new vendor for the battery, all because they didn’t provide the proper guidance and upfront information. Honestly, I feel like I was misled and that Onpoint failed to fully explain the system’s requirements. It’s a very frustrating situation, and I strongly advise others to be cautious – don’t let yourself get into this kind of predicament.” – Irma/ Steve Hernandez

“I’ve been a customer with this company for two years now, and frankly, I’m incredibly disappointed. Despite the promises made at the beginning, my bills haven’t gone down at all over the last two summers. We were also told we’d receive a new A/C unit, but it’s still not here after two years – and I’m constantly being passed around and given the runaround whenever I call. To add to this, they damaged some of my property and, despite their promises to fix it, I still haven’t heard anything. I’m seriously reconsidering this contract and exploring whether there’s been a breach on their part. They seem only interested in taking my money, and I’m now consulting with a lawyer to review the contract and see what options I have.”

“OnPoint Solar was fantastic to work with. Their team was incredibly knowledgeable, really honest, and they made the entire solar installation process so smooth and straightforward. I highly recommend them if you’re considering going solar.”

“Austin’s team did a fantastic job – the installation looks really clean and they were incredibly efficient, getting it done in just a few hours.”
-
“The technicians themselves are outstanding – truly world-class work. However, the team really needs to improve communication between the customer service and management departments, as that’s unfortunately dragging down the overall rating.”
-
“We were really impressed with the whole installation process – it was surprisingly quick, taking less than a half day! The team was incredibly professional and kept the work area spotless. It’s a great value, especially considering the heat out here in Arizona, and we definitely recommend this company.”

“I’m incredibly frustrated with this whole experience. We had a contract signed back in 2022 for solar panels, and since then they’ve been consistently malfunctioning. The installation team even caused damage to my property – they installed a solar meter that required removing part of my concrete floor, and we’re still waiting for them to address this. Despite repeated assurances, they haven’t followed through with any repairs, and it feels like nothing but broken promises. To add to the problem, the new A/C unit included in the original contract hasn’t been installed either. It’s been two years of getting the runaround, and frankly, I'm really just looking for some answers and a resolution to these ongoing issues.”
