  “We were really impressed with PEP Solar! Our old inverter failed and we hadn't heard back from the other company we’d contacted. PEP Solar stepped in immediately, handling everything over the phone and even offering a nearly identical inverter at a discounted price. The installer was fantastic – punctual, friendly, and incredibly efficient. He quickly and expertly replaced our inverter and even adjusted some conduit pipes, getting our system up and running in just over an hour and a half. He was so knowledgeable, patiently answering all of our questions and getting our system fully operational the same day, allowing us to start earning APS credits.   “I’m so happy with Pep Solar – they did a fantastic job installing my new Powerwall 3 and expanding my existing solar system. Honestly, the biggest surprise was how long it took to get the necessary permit from the City of Peoria. They were a bit slow, but Pep Solar, especially Bonnie and Sean, really fought for me to get it approved. They were always available to answer my questions and even help me brainstorm ways to speed things up. Despite the timing, Mike and Jason were incredible once the permit was finally granted – they were incredibly professional and meticulous during the installation, and we absolutely love our new system!” report abuse

  “I’m so glad I went with PEP Solar! I was completely overwhelmed trying to find a good solar installer, but thankfully, I found them through a Google search. Dallas was fantastic – he was incredibly patient and understanding about my previous bad experience, and he helped me get a price I could really work with. The installation crew, Jason, Mike, and the other guy, were amazing too! They were so respectful of my property, kept everything clean, and were super efficient. It all went really smoothly, despite the permit delays. And Bonnie and Sean, the owners, were wonderful – they made me feel like part of the family and assured me they’d be right there if anything ever came up, which thankfully hasn’t. The solar panels are up and running perfectly after SRP’s inspection. Seriously, PEP Solar is a fantastic, local, family-owned business – they’re the real deal!   “I’m incredibly disappointed with this company. We invested nearly $60,000 in a solar system back in 2021, and it’s been nothing but trouble ever since. It took six months just to get it operational, and we’ve continued to experience numerous issues. Despite the significant investment, they still charge a substantial fee for service calls, and the monitoring seems completely ineffective – they haven’t identified any problems and haven't provided us with a copy of our contract or any helpful usage instructions. Most concerningly, the system completely failed during the recent storm, leaving us without power for two hours when our solar panels didn’t activate. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.” report abuse

  “We’ve had a really frustrating experience with Pep and our Stion solar system, which they installed back in October 2017. Sadly, Stion went bankrupt shortly after, meaning our warranty is no longer valid. Since then, the panels haven’t been performing as expected and we’ve developed brown spots on them. Because of these issues, the entire system needs to be replaced, and Pep currently has no Stion panels available to do so. We’ve lost a significant amount of money – around $55,000 – and they’re offering no solutions. We’re now looking for others who might have experienced similar problems with Stion panels.” report abuse
